I remember listening to samples on zptdudamusic many years ago and took an interest since I was into the Aqua Velvets, but it took me several years later to actually buy it. I was so wrong for waiting. It is literally my favorite surf album now. Something about it, probably the pedal steel guitar, which makes the whole album sound incredibly moody. I'm a cartoonist and that album has given me so many ideas for projects. It just takes you to another place entirely. I've been dying for a second album.

On a side note, does anyone know if Pascal Records is still around or if they are keeping up their website? I've been searching for The Blue Hawaiians' Sway for some time now and I notice they sell them on their site. I'm just worried that the site's defunct now since it hasn't been updated in awhile.

Quite a few references to the Vanduras across the site (listening to now, top 101 picks, etc), but this seems the appropriate thread to bump for the clear title.

I went down a bit of a musical rabbit hole trying to ID the one of the guys in Marty Stewart's band in Jonpauls new bass amp thread. That tele player reminded me of an image in my memory bank of a guy in the Vanduras. Turns out I was wrong. It isn't Gary Brandin... BUT (!!!) along the wayward path, I discovered Gary has been beaverin' away at some new Vanduras tunes. HORRAY!!!!
