Whorehay, who are you kidding? You were listening to Flock Of Seagulls.

In 5th Grade? Didn't exist then. But I WAS listening to...

'Moon Dawg' was hot.
In Imperial Beach '63 or '64 or so my neighbor heard me playing the Surfin USA LP . He said "Come listen to 'Moon Dawg' then...off the 1st LP."
That hooked me: I sat there working that tune all the while dreaming of being in the band.

I agree with Skeeter that if Surfer's Choice included "The Wedge" it would be killer.

Lots of great LPs mentioned here, and of course there is no "right" answer to such a subjective question, but I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned The Impacts album.

There are actually bands I prefer and lots of individual tracks by other bands that I prefer, but at least at this time, it is the album that--to me--is all thriller, no filler. Great, tight playing, all-instro, tasty tunes from the first needle drop to the end.

I honestly think it might be (again, IMO) the best and most cohesive surf album as far as not having a bum track and being so well sequenced and having good dynamics from tune to tune.

I may well change my mind next week!
