Hi all¡¡ As I can sell my Marshall Artist 4203 Amp,want to buy a new valve amplifier .... I can only spend a maximum of 350EUR ($ 482.56) ... more amps that I liked (with this budget ...) are the Laney Cub 12R (15 watts, a 12-inch speaker and digital reverb) and the Fender Super Champ XD (15 Watt, 10 inch speaker and built-in effects and simulation of other amplifiers) that opinion you have these amps? Looking for a good clean valves sound, that can serve me to play surf music (The Shadows, The Atlantics, The ventures ....) and also some Blues and groups like The Cure, The Smiths, The Klaxons, Interpol .... etc .... my idea is something like a cross between "Fender sound" and "Vox sound "...( I hope that you understand what I mean...) by that amp you seems more appropriate? the problem is that my city stores do not have and I can not try ....¡¡¡ thanks for your help Greetings from Spain¡¡¡

I have a Laney Cub 10 and I use it more than my Blackface Twin for practice, and it has enough juice for playing live at small venues in a four-piece band. Personally I find Laney valve amps to be fantastic and should extend to the sounds you're after.

The Laney Cub 10 uses 6V6 valves and has a more Fender tone, while the Cub 12 uses EL84's and has a more Marshally tone. I'd recommend the Cub 10 for the tone. Laney are good amps - solid and well made.
Fender XD is quite good and, so is the Blues Jnr, but a bit out of your price range. The Cub10 is available from GAK for under 200, which should leave enough for a decent reverb pedal (holy grail?). I think you'll be disappointed with the Cub12, it's not a Fender sounding amp.

Thank you all for answering. the Fender Blues Junior is an amplifier that I love, but unfortunately,I have enough budget and I have to stick to my 350 euros ... By the way ... there is something that I found interesting :
I have consulted and compared to the technical characteristics of the Fender Blues Junior and Laney Cub 12R and I was surprised the see that the Blues Junior has the same valves that Laney Cub 12R ... which are: three 12AX7 and two EL84 .. .. so because they sound so different .... do not know ... if someone can answer me ... Anyway I think that British sound, for example VOX amplifiers,is not as bad for surf music .... a very clear example is the British group The Shadows ... have always used VOX .... another example is the Australian group The Atlantics .... greetings
