A warning, and my apologies in advance, to those rock instrumental fans who insist on surf in its purer forms. This is not even close. Maybe the Iron Maiden people will l ike it? You might have fun with what the nigh guitarist is playing. My own reaction was, "Just when I thought I was getting a grip on the Fender line, they spring this on me?"
I'm not sure what this piece is called, or if it is called anything at all, but if anyone recognizes it, let me know. These folks do (did) their share of covers and I am not familiar with most of their territory.

This is an instrumental used as a sort of thematic introduction (and maybe a sound check?) by the Blackouts, a (now defunct) Denver band that I would tend to think of as "metal." However, I am pretty vague on the finer subclassifications of rock after about 1980 and I tend to mislabel things.
You can't really tell here, but the bassist has color coded strings (not that she needs them). I'm sure it's an old joke, but I thought it was hilarious. It reminded me of a xylophone I had as a kid.
