Which reminds me, how's Banzai Pipeline going?

Awesome, actually. If the bass player is solid enough, you can kind of fake the rhythm gtr part by hitting downbeats. Smile

The Raybeats were "featured" in an issue of "Guitar Player" mag in the mid-80's...(The Ventures are on the cover....1984 maybe ?) & there is a whole article on "Surf Music" (in addition to the Ventures interview, Danny Amis & Jody Harris are interviewed as well) in the mag with a lot of cool "first wave" info & pics of Chantays, Astronauts, Sentinels etc. (LP covers were pics also.) Also; the Raybeats had 33 1/3 size "e.p." out called "Roping Wild Bears" as well...Hope this helps any Raybeats fans...We still love em' & play the vinyl regularly !!

Their song "Banzai Pipeline" is one of my favourites Smile
