Permalink Surf Coasters Tab?

New Topic

Sitting here diggin some Live 365 cast of Mutantsurfing radio, while making a new lamp for my Tiki Bar. This song came on and I was wondering...

Does anyone know where or have the Tab for the Surf Coasters song "Sea Knows".

I know, I know tabs suck... Learn to play by ear...
But not all of us are that gifted.
And why is it that on the guitar forums everyone is down on tabs but on my Uke forums it seem like folks will go out of their way to tab something out if someone asks?

There are a number of people on this site who will tab songs for others. But you will get the "tabs are bad, m'kay" speech too (sometimes).

This site has several tab resources (but not that song).

You don't have to be. It just takes work. Real work and real practice. I'm not gifted and I was able to figure out tunes by ear, after working at it and putting in the time.

If you are really interested in developing your ear then get some software like Audacity and slow parts of songs down on your computer while keeping the pitch the same. Loop over the part until you drive everyone in your house insane (or wear headphones). Making my own tabs using this method really helped me out. Good luck!

Thanks Brian for all the good work you put into this site, I really enjoy it alot!!

I've already downloaded the tabs from here and am thankful for those.

I have tried to do the Audacity thing for the last couple years while I was learning to play the uke and even took an "Ear Training" class at the local folk music school.
The Instructor told a couple of us that some folks just get it and others will struggle for years, guess which ones I am...

About the folks on the SG101 site, the tabbing ??'s most of the ribbing seems to be in good nature like "the surfing tab pic" its awesome".

I was on the Fender forum for a while before I found this site and would get comments like "be grateful that you have a computer to help you learn we had to put quarters on the record to slow it down to learn a song" blah blah blah...
"Why can't you just figure out surf songs there easy to play" blah blah.....

Again thanks to everyone here that contributes...
