I've been enjoying it enough for almost a year now and may soon upgrade out of "freeloader" status. It's exposed me to many artists and instrumentals that I never would have otherwise had exposure to. Not perfect but beats turning a dial.

pandora definitly beats turning a radio dial! found out about it a year or so back and i run surf music on it 2 or 3 times a week. but i didn't know you had to pay for more than 40 hours use! is that a week or a month?

Enjoying the surf,sun and sand!!

Best results I have had was creating a Ghastly Ones station...

AOL Radio has a 'surf rock' channel that isn't too bad.

Last few songs were:
Scalped - Dick Dale
The Lonely Bull - 3 Balls of Fire
Church Key - Original Surfaris
Good Cop Bad Cop - Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet
Spanish Wave - Susan and the Surftones

I remember starting out with Netscape Radio, which had an amazing surf station. Then Netscape was gone and replaced with AOL Radio. I've tried Pandora too, but I kind of dislike the song selection, at least for surf. I think AOL Radio had a better selection, and "Surf Rock" meant Surf Rock. On Pandora you have to sort of tailor the station to have a surf rock station. From what I've experienced when using it, it's a bit too limited. I found it to be helpful with other genres though. I've tailored a pretty good Jangle Pop and Power Pop station.

People in my office know that Friday afternoon is surf guitar time. I've got pandora channels for Los Straitjackets and the Bel-Airs. The problem with the pandora is you can get a run where it seems everyother song is a different band playing their version of Mr Moto.

"We're lousy, we can't play. If you wait until you can play, you'll be too old to get up there. We stink, really. But it's great," Johnny Ramone .

Hello all. I am new here, but do have some input... you will wish I shut up.
Pandora is great and so is lastfm. However, I have found the Mutant surf from live 365 to be totally fantastic!!! If that is not yuor cup of sludge, then may I suggest one of the other surf stations from live 365? Some is more oldies driven. At least this is all good for a change... ok, done. See ya! G

I like it's competitor www.slacker.com
