Have this been considered per se?
What's your favorite vocal by an instrumental surf band? These are theoretically instrumental bands, so anything from a manic laugh on up should count. I have a friend who (nameless so as not to put him on the spot) who claims his favorite Beach Boys vocal is Stoked.
Right now, in the subcategory high-jinks my answer would be Farmer Louie by the Trashmen, but otherwise maybe it would be the Centurions' Intoxica, for the crazed laugh. It would be a difficult call, though, because there are actually some pretty good real vocals by some of the bands, especially as you shade into the garage period, which I think is fair. The Sons of Adam (Fender IV) were pretty decent, for example. The Chantays, the Surfaris and the Lively Ones seem to have done a lot of singing, though I haven't worked out the dates.
There's actually a motive to my query here, which is to get a handle on how much vocalization some of the early bands really did, on record or off, but feel free to move this to the Shallow End if it seems better there.
However, no time limits. I think some bands drifted into more singing as they went along, and if any of the later wave bands are great at vocals, that's fair, too. I can think of several that do at least a few on record and I know others do them live.

i actually really like 'stoked' by the beach boys. it's a perfect tune for surfing footage.
i also really like 'california sun' on the 'sing along with los straitjackets' cd if that counts.

Not my favorite Man or Astro-Man? vocal but a vocal on perhaps their most "surf" album, I would have to say Mermaid Love.

- 1 for Mermaid Love as well. That was the first MoAM album I had and I listened to it endlessly.

I really dig "KUK" by The Astronauts. The Trashmen version is also great. Both bands also do "King of the Surf" and both versions are awesome.
Some other faves are... "Competition Coupe" by The Astronauts, "Record Run" by The Pyramids, "Secret Surfin Spot" and "Scavenger" by Dick Dale, just to name a few.
And since you mentioned Stoked by the Beach Boys my favorite instro by The Beach Boys is "Shut Down Part2".

Man or Astroman?.... It's got to be a tie between 9 Volt and U-RANUS

King of the Surf by The Trashmen.
I had a cool day recently because I heard that on the muzak while I was in Walgreens.
Beach Boys - for me it's Surf Jam and Stoked.
And in that vein, the Crossfires - Chunky. Another perfect "laugh."
However, really, for the Crossfires - Stay Around or One Potato, Two Potato.
But I usually like something with a traditional tie in.

King of the Surf by The Trashmen.
That's a great one, as is KUK.
But I wouldn't consider the Trashmen an instrumental band?
God help me, I actually kinda dig some of Dick Dale's vocal songs like Secret Surfin Spot, Swingin' and Surfin' etc.
