A little shameless promotion of a local band. In this case Denver (and vicinity)'s Get Three Coffins Ready.
MOAM's Polaris
Phantom Surfers' Buy High, Sell Low
Seafoem to the Stars
Hafner's Intoxica (in the Centurions > MOAM lineage) (linkfixed 5-11-10)
Sorry, more of my digital camera deverb sound.
Seafoem is on the new NDSA-0020 Long Live the New Flesh compilation CD. Recorded quasi-live some weeks earlier in the same location, but the sound on that occasion was not digital camera, of course. These songs feature an additional Denver area guitarist who is currently calling himself Gangsta Wayne. Counting on my fingers I think that makes three guitars (+ bass) but the sound is a bit different from the Astronauts.

From a May 5, 2010, benefit show at the Rock Ledge Lounge in Golden, Colorado, organized by the Rod Chuckers car club. Sadly I missed the AquaSonics and Velveteen Loveseat, who played earlier in the day. A triple header would have been nice, but it was Mother's Day. There were some Higher Callings.
Intoxica
Fusion/Anti-Matter then Action with a brief trailer of theremin taken from Evileye
Somewhat better sound, because I am using a better video device. The volume is somewhat suppressed. It was louder in the original ... though not at all as loud as it sometimes gets. I like it quieter anyway. You can actually hear it with your ears instead of via bone conduction. The Coffins are a little cramped in this venue, so not much demented lurching about. No beer eruptions or exploding television sets either. Just music. I think it works.
I also think I have all the songs correctly identified.
Wait a minute .. suddenly even Kevin plays a Fender? Oh my god, it's the end of an era.
