Condensed story here:
Bad weather has finally broken here in western South Dakota and a good spring cleaning was in order this last weekend and as some may know, I work in a public library where as a staff member I must "bounce" intoxicated patrons amongst other things and the man I videoed is among those whom struggle with "bad choices" in their lives that I've had to unforunately bounce or have sent to detox for their own good. Here is Howard after helping me clean my garage and backyard last Sunday. After the work was done I invited him in for a sandwich and a brew. He saw my strat and asked if he could try it. He turned out to be no stranger to playing surf or blues. A bit rusty but this Native American has still "got it". This is a plywood Korean Squier strat that I equipped with a Lace holy grail bridge, 57/62 R.I mid & GFS vintage strat neck & push/pull volume pot for 7 way tones. Pity that the majority of anglos here look down upon these indigenous people. Not me. I date only Lakota women! Moral to the story-One can always learn wisdom from an old Indian....

cool videos.. and he remembers alot for being rusty, hell if i dont play for a week i can't remember shit...

BTW.. i didnt know things were that bad with whitey in S.D. I dont think i have ever met one person here that has said a bad word bout indians...

I wanna play just like him when i grow up...

Amnesty intl has rated Rapid City S.D. as being THE most prejudiced place in the U.S. more than once. All because of injustices by law enforcement and inbred bigotry toward the Sioux. Although I'm one of the few "native friendlies" the kolas (friends) still tease me and call me a "trespasser" but reassure me that Custer died for my sins..

Nice, the old dude's still got it! I'm part Cherokee myself, so I couldn't be anti-native even if I wanted to.

Morph, thats just a silly statement, i know black people that hate other black people...

I wanna play just like him when i grow up...

I generally view most racism as a type of inferiority complex, but to be racially self-loathing, there must be some very serious mental disorders present. Now, if someone is very critical of their race (some in the Black community have accused Bill Cosby of this), I just don't think of this as hating.

I like the clips and I like the thread. This kind of thing resonates with me as I live in Milwaukee, the most segregated city in the North.

Seafoam Johnny,
Are you the fella that drove all the way to the Milwaukee to see the Exotics play a few months ago?

I like the way he went for the wangy bar that wasn't there! (First video at 2:30)

Cool video. Shows that we shouldn't judge anyone on first appearances - hidden talents are exactly that: hidden!

That was probably fellow South Dakotan/SG101 member sufinjohnnyq aka Johnny Kahuna. Six feet of snow doesn't stop that guy from attending a surf show.
