Permalink My Jaguar HH arrived

New Topic

So at the last minute I decided for the jaguar hh. I know it is not so surfy "Stock" but I figured out that it would be easier to modify than an old jaguar. Well not exactly easier but cheaper. Rolling Eyes

Anyway I'm not quite sure what kind of pickups should I get. I would like to get that clean surf tone but at the same time I would like to be able to handel some gain. I will probably get a Les Paul trem for the tail piece from stewmac, that way I won't have to bother drilling.

The stock pickups sound OK but to be honest I'm not crazy about them. So far I have noticed that the guitar is kinda noisy, is there an easy fix for that? maybe a ground problem?

Other than that It plays awesome! Cool

Thanks for your help

Why didn't you buy a normal Jag if you want the clean tone and a trem arm? You could have gotten a Japanese Jag ready for surf for $500. The Jag can handle gain in its natural set up.

That is what I've been told, Specially this one. I think it is not grounded, the hum stops as soon as I touch the strings, knobs and tailpiece. Confused

Is there any easy way of doing this?

Mainly because I couldn't find one at that price here where I live "DC" and didn't want to use eBay because I got screwed once. Confused
