So what do you guys think about the Vibro King? Have I found the perfect surf amp? Is the built in 63 'verb unit kickable or could you damage the amp? Would I be better off getting an outboard tank and a different amp?

As one gray cat owner to another; don't do it. They are wonderful amps but the sound is not what most of us would think of as Surf.

I had one and sold it about a year ago. Great amp, but not what I would consider to be "The Surf Rig".

I used it for many years as my main rig when gigging with some blues bands. It just got to be over-powered for my needs though.

Thanks for the input

I owned one. Very heavy! Your back won't like it too much.

The "built in" reverb unit is pretty cool, but the amp does not produce a "vintage" sort of surf tone. You would be better off with an external tank plus amp.
