I understand that it's largely the 1meg pots on a Jaguar that make it so bright. Has anyone put 1meg pots in other guitars with good results? What about in a strat?

My Strat has a "no load" tone pot, basically infinite resistance what set at 10. It makes a difference but it's not dramatic IMO. I would recommend no load pot because the pot will be much less sensitive when dialed back. With a 1 meg pot most of the change in tone would happen very early on, probably between 1 and 3.
