Permalink True love ways vs. I started a joke

New Topic

Hey there! Yesterday I looked up the chords for Buddy Holly's "True love ways" and while playing it I accidently "drifted over" into another song. It was "I started a joke" by the Bee Gees. The chords in the verses are the same, just a few tones lower. But the following of the chords is the same. Did anyone else notice that? Well, learned two songs in one step ;).

Never noticed that... but i like that beegee's song alot..

I wanna play just like him when i grow up...

A lot of the Bee Gees early work is outstanding; AND, they made the coolest Coke commercial jingle ever! Check it out on youtube.
"I Started A Joke" is Robin Gibb at his best.

Of course, the Bee Gees were great! I didn't want to say anything against that! But still it was funny to find out this similarity.
