Picard facepalm is the most necessary thing I have ever seen for this board. Captain Picard was an important authority figure in my life. |

Well, that first one has vast potential for abuse. But we can try it. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

Okay, if everyone else is afraid of sounding like an old lady and taking a stand against this, I'll do it. To answer the question, Yes, I'd be pissed off if it was used on me. Will it be "a bad thing for here?" Counter question: What good can come of it? There's also the lack of logic implicit in this scenario... We are discouraged from dropping F-bombs on this forum, yet provided with a symbol which everyone understands to mean 'Fuck you!' Am I missing something here? Is there a justification other than the urge to do something just because it's possible? I hope this post doesn't come across as sounding angry; I'm not. This isn't an attack on BTD or anyone else. It's just that there are so many instances on the Web where people say/type things to each other that they would never dare to say face-to-face, and flipping someone off via emoticon is another example of that. This isn't YouTube. I've always thought SG101 was a level above. PS: Like the facepalm idea! |

Well, you don't have to use it against a person. It can also be used in jest. If people do start throwing it around at each other (not in jest), it will get yanked. It is definitely on a trial basis. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

What Tony said... The faceplam says so much with so little. The finger just says you're inarticulate and have to resort rude gestures. Sure it's cute, but please don't point it in my direction. —Buy Speed of Dark @ Bandcamp |
