Jag pick-ups have more output that strat pick-ups and they really, really translate the sound of a cheap mid 80s korean 335 clone well. As heard on Ghost Train by The Looney Tunes well. Only cretins would think that makes a 335 sound like a Jaguar.

Which was my point, which you decried us for going off topic about discussing this stuff.

Nobody ever ASKED about whether a pick-up will make one type of guitar sound like another type of guitar. The point of this thread was whether it sounds good.

Then there is no point to this board other than yes or no questions. Clearly he wanted a guitar to sound more like a Jaguar, what everyone else in the thread said was why this isn't necessarily the case. Instead of just saying yes or no it is good to provide reasoning for why that is the case.

The point of any board it to answer the questions that are being asked, not answering one you like yourself hearing answering.

That's so ridiculous. The great thing about boards is that you can expand conversations and build a community. If the purpose of this board were to answer the questions being asked, then all the questions would be "Do I need a Fender Reverb Unit" "Yes". "Are there any alternatives to the Fender Reverb Unit, I really can't afford one" "No, buy a Fender Reverb Unit".
If people did not expand upon their answers and give reasoning and background information about them, then there would be absolutely no knowledge on this board. Fortunately, for me, that is not the case and I have learned a ton about guitars, amp, and music from this forum.
Question I like hearing myself answering. "Is Kawentzmann also a bit of an ass who likes to hear himself speak" "Yes".
If the original post of this thread did not take anything away from what Synchro or myself wrote, than I apologize. And if he learned more from "Listen to a song by my band the Looney Tunes" than I apologize as well.

I meant to write dick. But then I realized it could have been perceived I was calling you a dick, but I was just randomly wanting to say the word "dick".

Yeah, I think Fralin makes those. From what I've heard, it still sounds like a tele, but with weaker output.

For what it's worth Kawentzmann, I really appreciate everything Jake has offered as well as what you've offered to. If someone's got something to say i'll take reading it over not reading it every time. It's all good!
