Ever since we were blown away by As The Dark Wave Swells, Ellie and I wanted to write our own "Surf Ballad". We worked on this new tune over the past three weeks while waiting for all the new stuff to arrive. We call it Las Olas. With all the new equipment in place as of this weekend (Jazzmaster 62 AVRI, G-Spring and '70 BandMaster), I HAD to stay home this morning and record it. Be nice...I still haven't mastered double picking (which is obvious).

(Since we're focusing on surf....we just did a name change.)

Hey, Los Olas, I've shopped there... kidding aside, that's a really good tune, good job. That equipment sounds really boss too.

LOVE it.... i dig the slower moody stuff and that is great... BTW.. there is some drip at around 1:25 that is just awesome. The g-spring lives upto the hype here:)
i like the panning on it also:) What did you use to record?
P.S. i am soooo hurting to buy a new guitar... and listening to the JM isn't helping:)

What did you use to record?
Thanks all!
Icetech...I use Cubase Studio 5, which I have come to enjoy. I also just bought WaveLab, and trying to learn it for Mastering.
I just put up another song I re-did today called Surf Dance. I added a fuzz bass with my Big Muff Bass turned up....sounds like a crash. I love that pedal.
