Sorry guys, a little bit off, but there are guitar players here, maybe you can help: I bought an Epiphone an I can't identify it. The previous owner said: He bought it in 1984 (it was new, or used, I don't know) - it's japanese, and he cut the label out, because it was easier / or cheaper when he came through the border. That's all I know Thank you for the answers —original compositions (low-level demo stuff /out of tune, etc) myStuff not my best, but i don't like to be in a musician community without anything to show |

Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor II. That guitar didn't exist until 1994 though. The guitar doesn't look like an 80s Japanese epiphone. Missing the pickguard, obviously. |

I'm a big Epiphone fan. They've lost the plot from time to time, but have always made cool stuff. Their output in days of old is just amazing. |

I'm in love with the emperor regent. Such a big beauty. My dad used to have a 12 string riviera. Sold it before I gave a thought to guitars at all. I wish he still had it. —IMO. |

Hi! Thank you the answers, the pickguard is on my table. Nothing is missing. The price was the price of a new Cort Yorktown, so, it's not a problem for me, it's a good guitar anyway. thanks —original compositions (low-level demo stuff /out of tune, etc) myStuff not my best, but i don't like to be in a musician community without anything to show |

hi!
that is most likely a korean epi built in the early nineties ... that's when they had the Epiphone logo with the "Gibson" - name on the truss rod cover. 80s epis usually had a "Epiphone by Gibson" inlay on the headstock. maybe ask the epi - experts on forum.gibson.com ... they know for sure ... http://www.surfgrammeln-san.org |

You can lookup Epiphone Serial numbers at this link: I think some of the Epiphones are quite nice, including some of the 90's / 2000 ones made in Korea. |
