Stone IPA is my new beer of choice for the spring/summer. Wink
Still sticking with Guinness for the cold months.

I'm going to hop off my PBR soapbox for a hot second here and give a huge backing to (no, not Olympia, smartass) -- Green Lakes organic Ale from Deschutes Brewing. I had a friend who is an uber beer snob recommend it to me recently, and after downing six or seven, I not only had a nice cozy buzz going on, I woke up the following day no worse for wear. They're a nice balanced, slightly hoppy ale, and it's just crisp enough to make it a fantastic summer beer.

Oh, and if you haven't had Duvel Green yet, you might not have lived.

click psssshhhh.... CHURCH KEEEEYYYYY

Duvel Green eh?
is it like a Chimay red or Blue perhaps?

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Sort of - it's like regular Duvel, but it's super light.

And absolutely fantastic.

And dangerous as all hell, because I could drink a mess of it and not realize how wasted I was until I stood up.

~B~

Apparently it's a little more rare than I realized:

eh, if it's not dark, im not really interested.
I tried Duvel and wans't blown away, and I didn't like the Chimay white either.

whiskey is my fav

Damn this thread was started back when I was a more relevant poster. I haven't had a beer since Jan 15th.

As the long, holiday weekend approaches, my thoughts turn to barbeque and of course, ice-cold PBR (did you know they are the parent company of Primo?).

and Primo,
or as I call it, the PBR of the Pacific.

Hex Magic Hat Oktoberfest is my choice until winter.

SG101 Homebrewers strut your stuff. I'm enjoying delicious batches of porter and nut brown ale that I made this summer. Today, I just boiled up a batch of pale ale and the house is fragranced with hops, 3 different varieties in one beer.

Danny laid a bottle of the brown and the porter on me when i went down to catch the Poolboys @ the Hotel Utah. My wife cooked up some locally caught albacore tuna marinated in Soy Vey Teriyaki sauce and I had them with it. That was bliss!!! The beer was outstanding and paired with the tuna it was one of the finest culinary experiences of my life. Thumbs Up I thought about eating a side dish with it but the two taste were so good together, I couldn't be bothered. Just protien and beer! We are lucky enough to live in an area where you can just go down to the docks and buy fish directly off the boats at huge savings, $2.00/ lb for albacore! And Danny's generosity with his outstanding homebrew meant I got to enjoy this meal for cheap, if you dont count the gas money for the 800+mile trip to see FatPB and Slacktone. Thanks Danny, that was GREAT beer! Cheers I believe your talent has no bounds!
