I'm going to hop off my PBR soapbox for a hot second here and give a huge backing to (no, not Olympia, smartass) -- Green Lakes organic Ale from Deschutes Brewing. I had a friend who is an uber beer snob recommend it to me recently, and after downing six or seven, I not only had a nice cozy buzz going on, I woke up the following day no worse for wear. They're a nice balanced, slightly hoppy ale, and it's just crisp enough to make it a fantastic summer beer. Oh, and if you haven't had Duvel Green yet, you might not have lived. click psssshhhh.... Sort of - it's like regular Duvel, but it's super light. And absolutely fantastic. And dangerous as all hell, because I could drink a mess of it and not realize how wasted I was until I stood up. ~B~ |

Damn this thread was started back when I was a more relevant poster. I haven't had a beer since Jan 15th. "as he stepped into the stealthy night air... little did he know the fire escape was not there" https://www.facebook.com/reluctantaquanauts/ |

As the long, holiday weekend approaches, my thoughts turn to barbeque and of course, ice-cold PBR (did you know they are the parent company of Primo?). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGSN7JVg1yQ&feature=player_embedded |

SG101 Homebrewers strut your stuff. I'm enjoying delicious batches of porter and nut brown ale that I made this summer. Today, I just boiled up a batch of pale ale and the house is fragranced with hops, 3 different varieties in one beer. —Danny Snyder I am now playing trumpet with Prince Buster tribute band 'Balzac' Playing keys and guitar with Combo Tezeta Formerly a guitarist in The TomorrowMen and Meshugga Beach Party Latest surf project - Now That's What I Call SURF |

Danny laid a bottle of the brown and the porter on me when i went down to catch the Poolboys @ the Hotel Utah. My wife cooked up some locally caught albacore tuna marinated in Soy Vey Teriyaki sauce and I had them with it. That was bliss!!! The beer was outstanding and paired with the tuna it was one of the finest culinary experiences of my life. John Bishop |
