NEED MORE 'VERB?
Here's a non-intrusive "mod" to give your vintage Blackface or Silverface Fender or early MusicMan Sixty-five or One-thirty more reverb.
Disconnect the RCA plugs from the "out" of the tank and the "in" or return on the chassis. Get a shielded cable with an RCA on one end and a 1/4" on the other. Plug the RCA end into the "out" of the tank and the 1/4" into the first input for the Normal Channel. The volume control will now control the "mix" and you can color the 'verb using the tone controls. PLEASE NOTE: the "Reverb" control is now disabled. It's easy to switch back to stock, and gets much closer to the sound of an outboard tank. For those of you with technical skills, Gerald Weber has an internal mod that also substitutes a Dwell pot for the disabled Reverb pot and since you have treble and bass controls, you now have a built-in 4 knob reverb.
