Mmm! Care to tell us a bit about this one? Is that a custom finish or a refin? I haven't seen one in that color before.

Austin

I think the Yuzo Kayama model has a similar color, but white pick-ups and three controls. The Kayama is Japanese, while this one clearly has a later American headstock shape.

I haven't seen that one, It could have been made by Fillmore or Kurokumo. Mosrite guitars are popular in Japan. I'll google it.

Schwing! Nice collection. What is that Les Paul shaped guitar with all the knobs?

If you mean the one pictured below it is an Ibanez. I'm not sure of the model, I've seen one before and I wondered which model it was.

No, I meant the group shot, top row, the 3rd from the right. It is a single cutaway with a Space Shuttle control panel.

... so should we rename this thread "Show Us Your Guitar-Like Objects?"

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

First the name of the site must change to Surf Not Guitar.101.

We're gonna need a bigger banner pic.

My vote is for Surf SEGOVIA SAYS THOU ART A FALSE 101.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

Everything about that post is amazing. 1.) Jaws reference 2.) "THOU ART A FALSE 101 3.) the Segovia reference to a prior thread of bitchery.

My favorite part is how the two sentences are in the wrong order.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

That one would be the Roland GR-500; it's their first guitar synth from 'around '78.
BTW Stormtiger, cool song!!; just downloaded it this morning. Was that a 12 string in there or a double tracked part?

101volts, the Ibanez is an Artist Custom 2700, also from '78.

Thanks Paisley, I really liked your song too. That is neither 12-string nor double tracked. I played the octaves using my middle finger, standard Slacktone technique.

These are all the guitars I've ever owned:

I am a sucker for a Vox Phantom. Looks like the one with a truss rod cover must be English; I can't tell, though- does it have a zero-fret, or not?

Wow!

This is most of the surfy stuff. There's a ton more that I don't have pics of.

I don't think people realise just how easy that information is to get from just their internet presence.
