French TV 1963. Pretty cool and I'm quite sure the clip hasn't been posted here before.

I've seen some bands where they played a whole show with their head in their ass. Jeff(bigtikidude) |

wow in 2007? I guess I can't expect them to do their space schtick when they're that old. That video for Rocket Man is easily in my top 5 most watched youtube videos. Such a cool band. — |

Why are the Soptnicks so awesome? I just can't get enough of those old TV recordings. Maybe I should check e-bay for records... -km |

I've read that they hated the helmets and felt silly wearing them. I would have weared one with pride, especially the crazy earlier version.
Yes, it's the same band although I don't know how many of the original members that are left besides Bo Winberg.
Hahaha, yeah I noticed that too! — |

Besides echoing (no pun intended, seriously) what's already been said, I would just like to point out that their band cartoon album covers are damn cool.

Wow, those spotnicks sure get around. BTW: are there any other band names that end in "niks"? —Danny Snyder Playing keys and guitar with Combo Tezeta Formerly a guitarist in The TomorrowMen and Meshugga Beach Party Latest surf project - Now That's What I Call SURF |
