How rare is this record?
Yeah, this one and the S/T (with the discoesque cover) go for over $50 on ebay these days).

I just missed one at my local record store for $20.

Ventures - Live in Japan '65
Dick Dale - one of the all-60s, all-instro comps of semi-legitimacy
V/A - Diggin' Out
V/A - Surf Creature
Randy Holden - Early Works (has all the Fender IV recordings)
Jim Messina & The Jesters - s/t (though The Dragsters will certainly suffice)
Surf Coasters - Surfdelic
Terauchi Takeshi - Manatso No Umi Wo Buttobase or Seicho Terauchi Bushi
Satan's Pilgrims - Creature Feature
Pollo Del Mar - The Golden State
-Warren
— That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

You all have listed some pretty good groups here. Let me list what I feel are 10 very good groups that have not been mentioned yet.
- Aqualads - Hot Box
- Aqua Velvets - Any of their CD's. Their tune "Spanish Blue" is on the Cowabunga Box set.
- Bitch Boys - ...In Heat
- Bongo King - Operation Latin Surf (Great use of bongo rhythms with surf instrumental influences).
- Human Tornados - Self-Titled. Believe this is their only release and I don't know why. Great CD especially "I Surf in Black" and a cover of Link Wray's "Hotel Loneliness".
- King of Hawaii - Self-Titled.
- Los Meltones - Surfin' at Black Point
- Papaya Kings - Don't Fear the Reverb
- Shig & Buzz - Double Diamonds. Some great guitar work here.
- Splashback - Mrs. Moto

I know it must have been said 5,000 times since this forum began, but why hasn't a label cashed in on the demand for this album and just reprint it (without the car noises and hollers.)

You know, there is just something about owning the actual legal disc. Dont get me wrong I've downloaded my share of music, usually just the really odd hard to find stuff, but a pirated disc, doesnt have any sentimental value.

It's true. I had a bunch of Albums in my brother's iPod before I had bought the actual disc. Even tho I listen to these albums on the iPod more than using the CD, I still like having it.

If you liked that one try to get "Creature Feature", or "Around the World with..." you can buy them on Amazon. The Space Cossacks are good too, I've heard a little from them but I like it. The Ghastly Ones are good too, and If you want anything from first wave Surf The Astronauts are cool or Jim Messina and his Jesters. If you want the Jesters you're gonna have to go here http://boppeslag.blogspot.com/2007/09/jim-messina-jesters-1964-dragsters-192k.html because you can't buy it.
