I think my dad taught me either "Bull Dog" or that real simple bluesy beginning to "Honky Tonk". I think "Walk Don't Run" followed.

These were also the first songs or parts of songs I learned on guitar.

Duelin' Banjos (the basic parts, anyways...it was the 1st song I learned, period). The next was SMOASP's "Having An Average Weekend" from episodes of Kids in the Hall that I'd taped.

It's r&b/early-r&r flavored. It's from '58 or something. Nothing middle eastern about it, except that it's got the shakers which sound like a sandstorm!

I think the best-of is a good investment. Some good stuff, some not so good stuff, much stuff that probably sounded great back then, but that just sounds trite today. You know, lot of r&b type cliches...

Thanks for the Info Ivan, that's what I figured. I see it at Go-Boy records all the time, and always pass on it.
I picked up the Best of the Fireballs cd on ace for the same reason.
Figured a good best of would cover al the essentials, instead of getting all the albums or cds.
