I discovered this blogsite today, which allows you to listen to tracks without offering pirating opportunities-well, I'm sure there's a way, but...anyhow.

According to this, this, these Marksmen were Gene Moles and Nole Edwards (Nokie). Check out the pre-Eddie and the Showmen "Scratch"!!

Smile yeah it is http://www.amazon.com/Vaults-4-Ventures/dp/B000WZ4Y7I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1223346271&sr=8-1 check out the Track List.

The Deadbeats

Cool, I didn't know Moles and Nokie recorded anything together outside the Ventures. Gene Moles & The Softwinds did one of my all time favorite (probably in my top 10!) surf tunes, "Burnin' Rubber" and especially the production can't be beat. Check it out right here.
