Permalink Can you still get Yamaha SGV's from Japan?

I remember seeing some SGV 300's and 800's an Ishibashi's website. I was wondering if they were still made/available in Japan.

According to the Yamaha USA website, there's a sort-of-pseudo-SGV model, the EGV103. Kinda looks entry level, though. The Japanese Yamaha website lists 4 different SGV models, so I'd assume their still being made. I know they still have them listed on the Ishibashi site.

Do you have a link to the page on the Ishibashi site where they are located?

Yamaha has a full line of SGV guitars from a learner's model all the way to the highend Terry and the Blue Jeans signature models.

There are 3 models listed on this Ishibashi page...

Those EGV's available in the US are basically SGV shaped Squire Strats (or whatever Yamaha calls their entry level Strat clones) nowhere near the quality of the SGVs.

This Gakki.com place seems to have some too...

I can't vouch for Gakki though.

My brother ordered a Strat from Ishibashi and had excellent service. I think he ordered it on a Friday and it arrived on Sunday.
