I like Fender Strats and G&L Legacys. I've got a Legacy Hardtail and I'd like to get a new Strat someday.I played a new American Standard and really loved the feel. |

I´ve played on my great Japan strat, and never thought I´vd get a Jazzmaster- "cuz all the other bands use that"... But then I bought a 1966 beaten up Jazzmaster - and now it´s the main guitar for all I play! go to Photos, 5 pic. down! El Firetone, |

I've got a '66 as well. I noticed it says you are located in North Carolina. Are you still in El Ray? Is is El Ray no longer based out of Denmark? |

I am using a CIJ Tele with Bigsby that I modified with Curtis Novak Tele pickups. It is the only guitar I own with a trem. It definately does the trick. I have got to have twang, even with surf music! |

You guys may laugh at this, but my main surf guitar is an SX Strat copy with P-90's. (see my avatar). I have been through MIM strats, Squire Strats, etc. .... but this guitar has a bad ass attitude! It must be the P-90's. Just imagine the result of a Strat and a JazzMaster gettin' jiggy on a remote beach late at night. The result would be this axe for sure. It's really a tone monster. But, then there is my precious Cherry Sunburst Les Paul. My blues and southern rock sweetheart. — |

I think they are roundwounds. He does use bending with solo's and shit with The Stacks, so they have to be roundwounds. Its a nice guitar. — |

Yeah they are rounds and infact they are 9s. We got an Aquanauts gig on Sunday. I'm looking forward to using the strat w/out a reverb tank setup. —"as he stepped into the stealthy night air... little did he know the fire escape was not there" https://www.facebook.com/reluctantaquanauts/ |

I absolutely love my 68 Mosrite, No ventures logo, guitar, I also have a MIM strat. I am pretty new to the surf Genre, but I do know that when I am trying to learn surf a tune, Ill play my mosrite, and then switch to the strat to compare, the two. Dont get me wrong I love my strat, but to me it is just doesn't feel, and sound right for surf. I have played a jaguar before, (I wasnt in to surf music at the time) and I did like it. |
