Wow, I saw Daikaiju opening for The Anacondas once, and y'all were terrific!
The gig with The Rollergirls is really cool. I attended a couple of their bouts last year and really enjoyed the short live rock 'n'roll sets between matches. It seems to me that reverb-drenched surf would be the perfect genre for it, as the rink is in a big, boomy room where vocals almost always sound bad.
I sure wish they could serve alcohol at these events.

Sugoii-- we look forward to roller rink action!... We still in the remembering your writing of The Creative Loafing the first time Daikaiju attacking Atlanta in year 2000:
"Taking their name from the Japanese word meaning "giant monster," this powerhouse instrumental surf-rock quartet hails from Huntsville, Ala., where they musta been sniffing fumes from the local Space & Rocket Center when they recorded their amp-blastin' demo disc. Will they explode on the scene as a new Man or Astro-Man? The answer is buried in their Godzilla-sized waves of reverb! "

Greetings Daikaiju!!! You rocked my world at the Hotel Utah in S.F.
a few years ago with the fabulous Anancondas!!! I hope you come
out West again. Until then, I've got 2 CD's and the KFJC Pit Stop
recording to keep me going.
Dwell on 11,
