I see by the calendar that the Red Elvises will be playing Sept. 2 at the Mystic Theater in Petaluma, CA. However, when I go to their website to order tickets, there is no listing of this show. What gives?

You're looking at August, not September. They were there a few weeks ago. |

Yeah, The Pyronauts opened that show at the Mystic. They are always a good show but lately they have been especially tight and energetic. The Mystic is a cool venue and it was fun to see the Pyros rock that place. There were some old sci-fi movie clips showing on a screen above the stage...not sure where those came from but it put a whole new spin on the Pyros' set. That was my first Red Elvises show. Not surf at all, but a very fun roknroll show. I'd definitely recommend seeing them if you can. The crowd loved them and they kept the dance floor packed the whole time. They're a party band, for sure. Guess I'm old, but when their 10 minute break hit nearly 30 minutes, I started thinking about the 3 hour trip home (it was after midnight) and ended up bailing out a couple songs into their second set. —Don |

their shows are always, for me, a joy; crazy fun music, good times, just a slight hint of surf here and there; the lyrics are worth checking out b/c they have a wicked sense of humor the crowds at MUSIKFEST in Bethlehem Pa. recently were, as usual, completely nuts for the band UNSTEADY FREDDIE — |

I can second that the Mystic Theater is a nice venue in a 60's town. Make that a 40's town. That was the impression I got the first time I was there. I saw The Machine, a Pink Floyd tribute band, at the Mystic. They too were showing a film during their performance. I'll bet you can guess which one. |

The Mystic is a cool place to go..the upstairs loges offer a comfy vantage point. I've seen Dick Dale the last five or six years there (hope again soon) and was awesome//Pyronauts also! The original lineup of The Blasters were there a few years ago and slayed the crowd..Dave Alvin played like his life depended on it..or maybe his soul ala Crossroads... — |
