I was watching the Olympics last night, women's beach volleyball, and the announcer said "as the Ventures would have said-WIPEOUT!" Good grief.

You guys are very generous but believe me, he hasn't heard any other version. It is surprising that he didn't say the Beach Boys did Wipeout.

last time i heard it, the ventures version didn't even begin with "WIIIIIPEOOOUUUTTT!!"...isnt the original version the only one with that?

There is a lame assed spot for pizza hut, I think... that has some girl pretending to be french serving up chocolate dipped pizza crust, and when she reveals herself as a fake, one of the laughs sounds just like the wipeout laugh. Anyone else hear that?
