At this time, I think it's only available from Double Crown and CD Baby. However, I assume it will later also be on Amazon and similar online stores just like the Big Pounder CD. Here's the official release thread: http://www.surfguitar101.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=6414 — |

I've had Big Pounder and Escapades in Space since the convention but just around to a good listening yesterday. My drive to work is so short I can only hear 2 songs but I drove to Hermosa last night along Pacific Coast Highway, the perfect listening lab. I listened to both CDs twice and can enthusiastically recommend them. Escapades took til the third listening to really grab me but I'm hooked. It took me straight to Coco Beach for a Martini and then around the Galaxy and back. The songs are very strong melodically, just like Big Pounder, which I was swept into after only two listenings. Both CDs make a great package tied together by the typography and graphic style. They are also relatively short like older records, a huge accomplishment in my book! A lot of CDs now are over an hour, too much, and would benefit by cutting a few songs and using only the very best material. |

Yeah, I really like this CD. I love the melodies. They're strong and a little dark, which is what I like. As much drippy reverb as any Astronauts-head could want. The keyboards are fantastic. Love the sprinkling in of fuzz on a couple of songs. The space theme is great. The artwork is very cool. I've become a big fan of this band. Would really love to see this live </sigh> —Ryan |

I've heard it! - lol It'll take a little while for it to make it into stores. My main distributor just ordered 60 copies, so those should hopefully make it into stores that regularly carry our CD's and/or Double Crown releases. Raucous Records in the UK also has 'em, as will Soundflat. —Sean Surf CD's / Vinyl / Fanzines / DVD's |

Thanks for the very nice review! I think the new album is a little more varied than Big Pounder which could explain it took you an extra listening to really get into it.
Thanks, you're too kind! As for live shows, we already from the beginning decided not doing any shows to be able to fully concentrate on recordings, which was something that often was cut a little short when we had the Daytonas. — |
