what does everybody think about doing the sg101 event on a Sun.?
Yay or Nay?
Conflicts with HBISM events (splits the surf crowd) & makes if difficult for those who have to travel on Sun due to work on Mon. This years formula was a winner. While the HBISM show may not have been as well as attended as hoped, at least people had the opportunity. It was a memorable experience for those attending. Depending on the premiere date of Sound Of The Surf, scheduling the SG101 event for the same weekend as the premiere could be a consideration.

I agree. Keep Sat. as the SG101 day.

well if I did do it on a Sun. I would plan if for a weekend when there is no
pier show, or suring museum parking lot show,.
but I'm guessing that a Sat day/night would be best.
and then a pier show or a parking lot show on Sun. after.
so people can travel back home after.
I would hope though, that people would take a Friday and Monday off to do all 3 shows.
a guy can hope can't he?

While arranging to get (at least) Friday and Monday off around
this weekend is my goal, I can't always get out of work when I
want to. Doing the SG 101 events on Saturday makes it do-able
for me, whether I can get off work or not. But I'll do my best to
make it whenever, or wherever this is scheduled. This year's event
so greatly exceeded my lofty expectations that I can't imagine
missing any portion of future ones. Thanks again to Jeff and every-
body for making this such a HUGE success!

Hey Jeff, if the new venue can permit it, how about a dozen guitar wall hangers installed behind the drum kit and backline. As well as a showcase for diplaying our guitars and basses, they can be pre tuned before hanging and ready to go. This would save valuble set up time. It would look pretty kick ass too!
