I had to look up that "STFU" to learn it's short for "Shut The Fuck Up". Nice...

It's sg101 policy based on some law guys advice from a while back, about some other post. it's not a moral judgement on my side either, nor is it open for debate.

nevermind that, I think everyone appreciates the sharing of info here and everyone can search the web for themselves. if you have filesharing stuff you want to share with anyone you can use email or better yet, post all the relevant info, links and passwords in a blog on one of your myspace sites and let it know ghere. steer some extra traffic to your profiles as well.

All interesting Yuzo Kayama releases are in print

Why Klas, are you implying that his adult-contemporary albums are less than interesting? Very Happy

Seriously though, ordering from amazon.co.jp is remarkably easy - I've picked up a few Eleki CDs from them and they're well worth the $$$$. The shipping costs aren't too expensive, and the turnaround time is very good. I've yet to find anything Eleki related in a record store - which is too bad, since $25-$30 for a 60's Terauchi Takeshi LP is a much, much better investment than, say, two CDs by that one masked band Zak keeps mentioning.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

Anyone interested in buying Yuzo Kayama's first album can listen to sound samples of every track here:

(Click on the cover, then scroll down a bit to see the sound samples link)

However, I guess most people on here would be mainly interested in his instro recordings and therefore would be happier with the all instro comp Black Sand Beach instead:

And for anyone who would like to check out Takeshi Terauchi, here are some albums I can recommend (again with sound samples for every track):

Hahaha, I remember steering Ivan away from a Kayama Greatest Hits which he had already ordered but still had time to cancel.

Zak, you should be getting paid for these, hysterical! Mercy! My apologies Klas. I often go and listen to the samples but I rarely purchase as a result. I have to listen to an album at least 3 times to really know if I like it. Now that I have a grip on Eleki I will buy more. I bought the Surfites CDs based more on Ivan's advice than the samples I heard. I just started Escapes, it sounds great but I know I'll like it a lot more next week.

Honorable Stormtiger San didn't know STFU either.

Yuzo Kayama's entire first LP (track by track) including "Los Angeles No Nisei Matsuri" - here you go:

Thanks a million for the hook up on the site!

All nonsense aside, if the stuff was available in the US I WOULD buy it...I am not gonna mess with an overseas deal on a site I can't read with my limited US only one language skills.

But now that I know what to look for I will be digging on this stuff and looking for more of it now! Killer music.

Why is Kayama addressing himself with his question?!?

Because I was in a hurry and trying to do 5 things at the same time, while talking on the phone.

Is this better?

image

Zak, i have to ask. are you just writing random japanese looking words or do you by any chance know anything about the language? just curious...

do you save all of your pictures that you edit? they all had to have been hosted somewhere online at some point...so there's probably a gold mine of cool zak izbinsky-edited pictures somewhere...

remember the monopoly guy with a jaguar? that was awesome...

sorry this is becoming Off Topic

Good gawd.....no....that would require a few extra hard drives! Especially since most of 'em are funny for a grand total of 2 minutes or less.

well if you'd put them together in one gallary it'd add up to about 5 or so minutes of entertainment.

I am the opposite, I have to like something immediately to grab into my wallet to buy it. So my collection is composed of those kind of things.

Both CDJapan and Amazon Japan is in English (for Amazon you might need to click the "In English" button). If you're serious about eleki being "Killer music", you really should try to support the artists and labels by buying stuff and not just download in print albums from some blog. If more people bought these small run reissues, we would hopefully seeing more cool eleki releases in the future.
