We only have about 12 or so, so unless you enjoy seeing the same ones multiple times in a week, please send me some more!

We have 17 now...keep 'em coming...at least half of them haven't been featured as POTD yet. Remember it is randomly chosen, although I may change that if we keep seeing repeats.

Brian, can we submit images found on the internet, or do they have to be personally owned images?

I'm kinda leaning towards images taken by members. It adds a more personal touch to the site. Anyone else have thoughts on that?

I'm starting to think I might need to hi-jack a family camera for when I go to shows, to help out the POTD defiency.

Would the International Surf Museum authorize you to post selected images from their archives (images from the Michael Ochs Collection) in return for a credit line and perhaps a link?
ISM would get some much deserved exposure and SG101 could show some awesome images from the early 60s.

We got 22 now, please keep them coming!
And yes, BTD, get a camera man!
Sounds like a good idea about getting a couple from the museum's archives. I primarily want to feature surf music related stuff...but some classic surfing photos would be nice too.

Boy oh boy, if I had a camera, there would be so many pictures of me playing guitar in my underwear.
Maybe it's for the best that I don't have one......

how do you do that Jon, I never get my guitar to fit in my underwear?
btw, who will take the pictures? your mom?
well actually this raises a question... do they have to be live pics? by surf bands? are cool gearpics allowed? or otherwise surfrelevant pics, I remember a pic from Ferenc with an ear to ear grin holding "the beast"e.g., the sort of thing?

Anything related to surf music is fine. People have submitted gear pics. I'll also accept stuff that is related to members...I just got a cool picture of mom_surfing surfing, for example. But I get to decide which members appear in their underwear....

I have a special apparatus. There's a patent in the works, too. This thing will be bigger than pizza!

For the record, my mom doesn't have the time to take pictures of her scantily-clad, loser son. She's busy telling the neighbors that she doesn't know me, and to ignore the noises and smells that come from our house.

Interesting factoid: we have 42 photos in the database now, 16 of which have not been seen yet.
Keep them coming. Thanks!

I'm confused a bit on this.
if there are some we haven't seen, then why are there ones that we have seen over and over and over.
Brian, Can't you put it on a system where it'll go through them all, before they start to repeat?

BTD - haven't ya been paying attention? The POTD is chosen randomly. We even took a poll on how to choose it...randomly won hands down.

yes I understand randomly, but you should be able to have them chose randomly, but not repeate untill all of them have been gone thru.,
I've seen the one of the Nebs with skulls 10 times it seems.

sorry to be a wet diaper,
but its just weird to see the same photos over and over, when you say we have x amount.
I bet if you said that we would see the same ones over and over in the random picking, maybe everyone wouldn't have voted that way.
