Tough room! The shirts blow, yes, and should be burned immediately. But otherwise, if I was by chance at Seaworld (or wherever this was shot) and happened upon this trio playing, I would think it was all awfully cool and would welcome the chance to sit down and listen. It is a matter of frame of reference. At a club, with perhaps other surf acts on the bill, I would expect more. And by that I guess I mean at least seeing the proper gear in use; you just can't get a right sound with that stuff. In the meantime, more reverb, please! — |

They are welcome to come to South Dakota and I will supply FREE homebrew under one condition...Leave them thar funny shirts in California. They could be offensive to both Cowboys AND Indians alike (of which I'm neither) |

Cool. Finally a surf band tryin' somethin' different. It gets pretty boring hearing the same ole' surf tunes venue after venue. Be careful following the masses. Sometimes the "M" is silent........................... |

I don't know Zak. I hear different stuff goin' on there. I hear blues and Penatonic scales goin' on thru both tunes, especially "Rumble". Not bad for a three piece band. No other guitar or keyboard to hide behind. Be careful following the masses. Sometimes the "M" is silent........................... |

Fascinating that the Deadlies "Splitsville" is a dead ringer for the theme song from the Banana Spilts kids show that ran from 1968 through 1971...:-) The original song was called " The Tra-La-La Song" written by Nelson B. Winkless, Jr. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxhoGTq_Sms&feature=related But boy, did this bring back memories...:-) —Mel |

sure ya don't, but it's much MUCH better if ya do. besides, last time i checked, Zak uses fuzz as well. that is most certainly coming out from behind the reverb tank.
sorry, the Treblemakers vids win hands down over these guys. — |
