The clip is out of a new movie called "Amigos and Banditos", due out next month. There is actually 9 min. of vintage film in the full movie, backed with our music, then the rest is new stuff shot up and down the Baja. It debued last weekend to Surfrider in Miami.

VERY COOL !!
Ya gotta love the old 8mm movies.

I was a Corona del Mar one day,( cutting school to surf) and watched a guy smash himself pretty bad on that jetty. We all stayed in the water anyways. He just made a wrong turn, and wasn't paying attention as to where he was.
It was a total Wipeout!
1. busted surf board.
2. busted surfer.

It took over an hour to get him off the rocks.

Joel

I love that footage. Shows surfrider beach in Malibu was just as much a zoo in the 50's as it is today. In '57, I was seven years old.

Somewhere, I think I have some ancient super 8mm footage of me at age 17 out in the Mojave desert on my old "Hodaka 100" from my District 37 desert racing days. I'll bet they have all disintegrated.

Can't wait to see the film.

Goober

About the only problem I can see is the footage is so cool at times I forgot to listen to the music, but then again, I'm a sucker for old surf footage.
I really liked the song.

"We're lousy, we can't play. If you wait until you can play, you'll be too old to get up there. We stink, really. But it's great," Johnny Ramone .

Thats Great! Love the footage and the music is really tasty too!!! Can't wait to see/hear the rest.

Blu

Nice, gotta make sure I see that too.

I drive by all those south OC beaches on my Pool route on Wed. and Fri.
but the water is more brown that green now.
Shocked

Jeff(bigtikidude)

i too like all the old super 8 footage, especially of southern cal. looking forward to seeing the rest of this project.
