I am sure this has been asked before (So sorry in advance), but are there any good websites or places that sell flatwounds for a fair price and/or in bulk?
No music stores by me carry them, it is such a pain in the arse.

I am a licensed dealer for D'Addario if you like the Chromes. I think they're awesome. I'm in SoCal. if you go to the sounds page, all the sounds recorded with the Jag had the Chromes on it. |

Hey all. I'm new here. www.webstrings.com has their own labeled strings. Their flatwounds are 6.99 for 1 to 11 sets, and as low as 6.39 for 24 or more sets. I've used their strings extensively on my acoustics with no complaints for years. Oh yeah, and they are available in up to .013 to .056 Haven't gone flatwound on an electric... yet... |

I have no intentions of stepping on DGG's toes as far as the Chromes are concerned, nor or my intentions to give a shameless plug or spam this forum...I just wanted to say I have a pretty big selection of strings, and can get about anything out there and would be willing to do all I could for the surf guitar brethren. I run Ballew's Music, a music store in the West Georgia area. I'll gladly do special orders for strings, picks, etc. I've always been into flats, new picks, and just what I considered to be "cool gear" , and I remember how frustrating it was to find a store that catered to the small percentage of guys like me. I won't mention my job again, because that's not what I'm here for. Check out our website - Ballew's Music. |
