Permalink The Phantom Four "Madhur" CD release imminent!

New Topic

The Phantom Four, featuring Phantom Frank, formerly of the Treble Spankers, are hosting a CD release show this Friday in Amsterdam. Man, I wish I could be there! The CD is called "Madhur" and it's their studio debut (their real debut was an excellent live CD). You can hear four songs on their myspace site:

Go to their main site for more info:

(Look at all the freakin' people at their most recent show!!)

I REALLY love these guys. I think they're gonna be big! And they've already played around 80 shows in their first year and a half of existence, which for a surf band is absolutely miraculous. I can't wait to hear the new CD...

PS I wonder if Wannes will be back from his vacation in time to go to that show?

quickie response - what Ivan said and more!

"Lowlands", where they played, is one of the biggest indie festivals in the netherlands - three days including camping sites, many stages, 55 thou visitors. playing there IS a big thing.

they do a digi pic of the audience at every show to put on thesite, which is a great gimmick.

can't make the release party - other obligations - but I will no doubt see them many a time coming season.

Did mention Frank's a super-nice guy?
