June, 13 2008 at Long Beach Armada Baseball Game
Blair Field - 4700 Deukmejian Dr, Long Beach, California 90804
Cost : 10.00

Opening Night - The Long Beach Armada Professional Baseball Team against the Yuma Scorpions. The Eliminators will perform at the main entrance from 5 PM to game time at 6:35 PM. The Armada are managed by former Dodger great and 1981 World Series MVP Steve Yeager. http://www.longbeacharmada.com/

Just a reminder for anyone interested in attending... They also serve beer & spirits at the games. All the concessions are 75% less that those at a major league game. You can enjoy a beer, a brat or some BBQ tri-tip, some surf music and even some baseball.

I stopped by and TOTALLY HAD A GREAT TIME!
The combination of seeing THE ELIMINATORS for the first time, and people-watching the baseball fans pass by and head into the stadium, was a most unsteady experience!!

thanks Tim for putting this together, and very special thanks to Jeff/BigTikiDude for reminding me about this event, which i was able to work into my schedule befrore the DAVIE ALLAN show at THE JUKE JOINT later that night

THE ELIMINATORS just blew me away; I scratched my jaw a few times on the ground, I swear!!! Great sound, cool get-up and gear.....OK enuf out of me

hey - where is John Benton -?

John was in Colorado so the "original" Eliminators did the gig. Thanks for posting & coming by Freddie. Great night. Beer, brats & baseball after the gig.

The team was late returning from their road trip because the bus broke down so the game was a bit late starting. They turned off the music in the stadium so the crowd of 4500 could hear the Eliminators playing by the stadium entrance.

A military vet of the Iraq war threw out the first ball. He was blinded by a roadside bomb. Surf music seem pretty trivial at that moment.

I was bummed I was not able to make this gig, as I had alot of pool work to catch up on from being in Canada till tues.
I ddin't get home till 7 pm.
sorry I missed it.
but its not like I've never seen em.
Wink
