Permalink New Amp...no reverb

New Topic

Ok so I just picked up a new amp for my dorm room. I got it in a set package with my first electric. I ended up getting a Squier Affinity. Here is the amp: http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_fender_frontman_15g_guitar_combo_amp?full_sku=100324498

It is a pretty good amp for the deal I got with it, just the only thing is it has no reverb. What I am wondering is what everybody thought of the Danelectro pedels? They are really affordable and I just love the style of them. Is their reverb pedel any good? What about any other pedels that are any good? Thanks for any help guys.

I don't have any experience with reverb pedals, but here are some threads you'll want to read:

Here's another suggestion. The Yamaha Magicstomp II. Musicians friend has them for $80, and it has a pretty good reverb setting I think. It's got lots of other settings too, including some cool echo sounds.

It isn't a tank, thats for sure, but its got lots of fun sounds.

I am probably going to get kicked out of the forums for this one.

Anyways I picked up a Line 6 PodXT Live - the floorboard set. It has a emulation of a reverb tank, 3 of them actually. Although they don't sound as creamy as the real thing. They do get the job done. The other effects are good as well. The characteristic of the spring being driven are there. Although you can't the board and get the crashing sound, everything else is imitated well.

I mainly got this board as a back up in in case I blew a speaker or had any amp issues. I could plug it into the house sound and finish the night. It is also good for practice or any time I don't feel like lugging a bunch equipment around.

It is a little expensive, but it pretty much takes care of all you effects and direct recording needs.

aSurfer..
I have the Danelectro reverb pedal and it's GREAT.. When I don't want to lug the reverb tank or the space echo.. this pedal gets it done. great sound for the price.. go for it!
