coming off a great show last weekend on Sunday May 25th at OTTO's SHRUNKEN HEAD, FRANK WOOD and I have decided we should do this more often....
so we're announcing an ongoing series of shows under the banner of THE UNSTEADY/WOOD 'BEACH BALL'
The next one we have scheduled is AUGUST 31st, the SUNDAY before LABOR DAY. Reminder: these BEACH BALLs are part of Frank's regular SUNDAY series called 'WIND-DOWN SUNDAY'
Like we did on May 25th, we will present 7 instro bands, on the hour, every hour, starting at 6 pm; the last band goes on at Midnight. And Frank's weekly 'SOFA KING "WILDE" JAM' follows, and all surf musicians are welcome to participate
So far, booked for the next BEACH BALL on AUGUST 31st are:
9 pm, MISTER NEUTRON
11 pm, THE SEA DEVILS
that leaves 5 openings

just dropped in THE RECRUDERS at 6 pm (they played a killer set last Saturday night at the SURF-ROCK SHINDIG)
here is the line-up as it now stands

VENICE BEACH MUSCLE CLUB are taking the 8 pm slot
all that remains open is 7 pm

THE RECRUDERS have moved to 7 pm, instead of 6 pm
Thus, I have open, still.....6 pm
and then we can get a poster together, and start promoting this show properly

BUMMER NEWS 
just got an e/mail MISTER NEUTRON cannot appear at the AUG 31 'BEACH BALL'
that means:
1) the 9 pm slot is open -- any takers?
2) a new poster will be created once I secure a replacement band
so I am gonna leave the poster up everywhere it is, and update it, when the time comes
any band (surf instro please) is free to appear, even if the band is playing a SURF-ROCK SHINDIG close to that date

with all the changes to this UNSTEADY/WOOD BEACH BALL show, and seemingly endless cancellations to other shows, I have lost track of who is playing, who cancelled, who is doing what, where, etc
