My wife and I are going on a 7 days cruise to Alaska this Thursday.
Really excited to take a break away from work and ... L.A.
The SUZY Surf Stomp was a blast.
What a bunch of talented people we have here in California.
Hats off to the "Detonators" who really brought the house down last night.

Great! You really capture the western swing feel--when Herbie, Tiny and Eldon do the unison parts.
You know you need to do the steel part now, right?

Glad you liked it,
It's fun playing these old tunes. I hope I find another exciting one to play.
I though that since I don't have a Gibson to emulate the nice rounded and full sound of the time, I could at least show my Gibson shirt.
Now a Jazzmaster would have done the job perfectly.
Next time, I' ll borrow one from my many Surf musician friends.
The Steel version is not an option for me now. It' s a bit late for this life, maybe in the next.
