Well I still have a big dent in my forehead from slapping myself when you all said champ. I think of princetons when I think small Fender. Champ never entered my brain.
I found my Champ. It's a silverface and I paid $35 to $50 over going rate, but it just had the caps and some resistors done, new jacks, an eminence speaker, and a three prong plug installed. I'd say that's worth going a little over going rate.
Thanks again ya'll!

... I love my AC30 but it's a sexless marriage. I rarely get her warmed up, and never hit it like I oughta cuz she's a screamer, and my lifestyle just doesn't have a place for that. So what's out there for me? ...
Hey, be careful there. We don't want SG101 to lose the PG-13 rating.

Am I stuck with a DRRI? I'd almost rather get a hot rod deluxe. It would be quiter than my AC30 and would cost about half of what the DRRI would... What to do?
You can actually use 6V6s in a Hot Rod Deluxe (instead of the stock 6L6s) it will knock the wattage down to 22 watts. (Not all 6V6s are mighty enough to handle the higher voltage though. Bob at Eurotubes.com sells HRD retube kits with specially chosen JJ 6V6s that can do the job.)
I'm currently using a THD Univalve most of the time, lots of tube swapping fun to be had with one of those. It takes just about any octal-based power tubes you find laying around and it has a Hot Plate attenuator built in to tone things down a bit. Depending on the power tubes you use they can do from 5-25 watts or so.
I've also got a Blackheart BH5H Little Giant head, 3 or 5 watts of EL84 goodness. Not a lot of clean headroom from that one though but I haven't tried it with a lower gain pre-amp tube, a 12AU7 or 12DW7 might help with that.
