Looking good- keep us posted.

I'm curious- I'm considering buying a Pro Reverb that somebody has turned into a head by chopping the original cab; I would, of course, turn it back into a combo, and probably go the same route you have gone with the construction- what made you go with the Webers? I'm not sure what I'd put in the Pro if I decide to go for it (maybe JBL's, maybe not), so I'm open to your comments and suggestions.

Went with the Weber Californias due to the recommendations of those on the board; they seem to have to have the tone and sound that I want.

Plus the price was not too bad...

Wow, nice job, Dutch, and my favorite "obtainable" speakers, too. I have them in three of my Fender amps.

The Calis need breaking in before they sound their best. You will love them.

That's a helluva bedroom amp!

Look at me, man...how else am I going to get women into my room?!?

Yea, it is becoming more of a gear room than a bed room isnt it? I have 3 amps, 5 guitars, 1 reverb tank and a pedal board in here...hmmm...

Maybe time to get that 3 bedroom apt...dont think my daughters will give up their room...hehehee

Nice work Dutch! That rig is a beauty!

Wait a minute... I thought you were building a 2x12 cabinet. Where did that Fender 2x12 cabinet come from???

Dude, nice work! You should be really proud of the finished product! I'll bet it sounds awesome!

Well, in my apartment I do not have a real chance to turn it up to the point of getting that nice tube break...I will have that oportunity on Saturday....my drummer and I are getting together at the Jr High he teaches at in the band room

hey, just for a little advice...

i hear it's best to just have 4 screws holding in your speaker, with 8 you run the risk of unevenly tightening the screws and bending your basket...those things are sensitive!! it can still warp the basket with 4 screws, but it is much more unlikely...

That's a cool 'verb...you should start a separate thread about it! I built something similar (ordered the parts individually from Mojo, Weber, and fleabay) and ended up saving some money (over a kit) plus getting higher quality components. Did you use a 6K6? I would have bought the black faceplate if I knew Weber sold them separately (I went with the Weber chassis which only came in chrome with no faceplate option).

Now back to the subject (dutch's cab) ....did you use the Mojo "aged" grillcloth?

www.apollo4.com

No, I was able to get a line on authentic Fender grill cloth...I decided to go with that because outside of the logo, I wanted something that was real Fender...
