my goals for 2008:
Get and play as many quality shows as we can
Record our first full length CD (Tmen)
Get our costumes together finally
Touring SoCal and/or PacNorWest
Help in any way I can to get some great surf bands to the Bay Area
Get more young players and fans interested in the genre
Become a more consistent guitar player
Help Bob (Robbie Reverb) with his 2008 SG101 comp contribution
Not drive Mel quite so meshugga

Our upcoming CD "Escapades in Space" is scheduled for an August release on Double Crown.

Tenderfoot, the Madeira CD will be out in June. It is currently at the manufacturing plant, and we should be getting our copies right before we depart for the East Coast shows that are just over a week away - so, if you come to our show in Washington, DC, you'll be able to buy it in person and be actually among the very first people to get it! I hope to see you there!

Besides all the fine upcoming '08 releases already discussed above, I would like to also add Los Twang! Marvels' "Jungle of Twang" (which came out just a week or two ago) and the Barbwires' "Searider," coming out later this summer - I'm extremely excited about both of these! And here's a tip: our own Ferenc Dobronyi is almost finished with a sorf-of-a-solo-CD that'll be released (August?) under the name Frankie & the Pool Boys - folks, this gonna be a KILLER CD! Mark my words - you heard it here first!
It's gonna be a good, good year for surf music.

Since Big Pounder is my favorite modern surf album, this is the one I have been anticipating the most. (The 'Verb's new one would be a close second . . . no wait, Carpe Noctem . . . and um . . . oh crap!)

You're going to let the birth of your first child interfere with a SURF SHOW??? Where are your priorities, man???
 Bad timing. Well, I hope there will be a next time for us in DC, but we'll see...
Good luck with the delivery! Hope it all goes well - and since you're missing the show, make up for it by starting the kid off on surf music right away...
