I turned the tank off and put my amps reverb on max, and I felt like I had NO REVERB.
-
When I first got the tank I was amazed with the reverb, thinking it was the greatest thing, but now I want to find even ways to get MORE REVERB!
Case in point, once you taste real reverb you desire it more, like a labratory rat hitting the feeder bar.

I once tried to add "more reverb" to one of my home recordings...
reverb on the lead, reverb on the rhythm, reverb on the bass, reverb on the drums...then even more reverb on the final mix and and reverb during the mastering...
man, that was a LOT of reverb!
it sounded like I was a litlle itty-bitty surf band in a giant auditorium way out on Neptune or Uranus or Pluto...far, far away...
too bad I couldn't play it through an old stereo with the reverb cranked up...that would have sounded too cool!

Want more reverb? You could try this..... This is how Dave Wronski does it.
It sounds real good. Gotta love artists that are creative & push the envelope!

OK HBkahuna...your holdin out on us. I keep seeing more of these pics. Its like 'tease the guy in the middle of land' here lol. Man I'd love to see video of that Surf Museum Concert, or any of them for that matter. And it looked like a guy with video equipment under a tent in front of the stage too. hmmm.
Either way, great pics!

There were quite a few video cams for Slacktone & several when Madiera played too. I too am waiting for those videos to surface. The still pics dont really do the day justice. Everything was about as perfect as it gets. It's worth the trip out here to see a big Sunday show at the pier.
You can try this for some Slacktone live. It's good but very low key for Slacktone. It's as mellow as you will ever hear them. http://octaneradio.podOmatic.com/entry/2006-07-18T02_19_50-07_00

I've seen that link. Great stuff!!
And your pictures are wonderful! Thanks a bunch for sharing them here. As I said before its a real treat seeing them
My Mother in Law lives in the Palo Alto area. We visited her onced in 25 yrs lol. She comes back here to Pa every Christmas. 'If' we do go see her again before she moves back here (she retires from Dolby Labs in San Fran next year) I'll be sure to schedule it around a pier concert
I'm even pricing boards
Rockin' the reverb.

I do have to say, I think that the two-tank system that Wronski has going on is a matter of "more reverb". I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he's just routing his signal in two different directions through the two different amps (the Slacktone amp and the old Bassman), so he's using two different tanks - one for each amp. Plus, let's not ignore that gorgeous Echoplex sitting between the two!

I gots a queshion fo yall.
couldn't the tank sittin in front of Dave's Bassman, be vibrated into artificially making the tank springs vibrate. also like when a drum
shakes the stage.
This could add to the sound, or make it unbearably annoying it would seem???
