I wanna say that Shawn had a GPC Mosrite copy and posted a review of it back on the old mailing list, but I don't remember for certain. GPC (Guitarpunk) has been out of business a long time but I was considering picking one up used and wondered if anyone here had one or had played one.

Is that the same kind of guitar that Ben Foster played in The Riverdales? I remember wanting one of those a while back. I've never played one, though.

Yeah, Ben Weasel actually had his own model called The Weaselrite. If you find one of those on eBay they go for close to a grand.
They had the regular "Standard" and "Vintage" models, the latter having single coils and a Mosrite-type trem. The Standard model had a hardtail and humbuckers. I think, it's been a while. The one I'm looking at is black with a hardtail.

Wow, I didn't realize that those would go for that much.
Would you modify anything about the one you're looking at, or just play it as-is?

I would play it as is. If I ever decided to play it with The Surge I would either get some more of those Vintage Vibe humbucker-sized P-90's like I have in my Jagmaster or do a coil tap.
