Permalink Gear used on Bang Howdy

For those of you that are interested, here's the gear used on Bang Howdy Partner.

The bass on all tracks is a Musicman 5 string through a Peavey head, and home-made cabinet (1x15") miked with a large condensor mic. Played with fingers.

The drum kit is a Yamaha Studio miked with on large condenser 4' in front of the kit (bass drum height), and a mid size condensor centered above the snare (4' off floor)

The gtr amps were miked with a combination of the large and mid size condensor mics, and a SM-57.

Muchos Diablos
-the main gtr is an aqua Dano U2 (Korean re-issue, both p-ups on) played through a reissue tank, and a 1960 Fender Vibrasonic w/ 1x 15" Jensen.
-the tremoloed gtr is a lipstick pickup strat played direct through a Beringer Eurorack mixer
-the solo gtr is a Dano Hodad Baritone (bridge p-up) played through the tank, and the Vibrasonic

Hrundi Goes West
-the main gtr is the strat on the middle p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic
-the lap steel is a 1950's Kalamazoo played through a Kalamazoo Model 2 amp (8" speaker)

Johnny Ronco's Last Stand
- the main gtr is the strat on the bridge p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic
-the 2nd gtr is the Dano (both p'ups) played through a Garnet Revolution (12" speaker)

And The Horse You Rode In On
- the gtr is a 1960's Eko V-4 played through the tank, and the Kalamazoo Model 2 amp

Old Caliente
- the main gtr is the strat on the bridge p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic
-the rhythm gtr is the strat on the middle p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic (with vibrato on)
-the lap steel is a 1950's Kalamazoo played through a Kalamazoo Model 2 amp

Wigwam
-the gtr is the strat on the middle p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic
-the lap steel is a 1950's Kalamazoo played through a Kalamazoo Model 2 amp

Phantom Riders Of The Backlot
- the main gtr is the strat on the bridge p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic
-the rhythm gtrs are the strat on the neck p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic
- the solo gtr is a 1960's Eko V-4 played through the tank, and the Kalamazoo Model 2 amp
-the bass is a Dano Longhorn (Korean re-issue) played with a pick

Six-Gun Party
-the ukulele is a 1970's Northern tenor
-the acoustic lap steel is a Mahalo mini guitar with a Hawaiian nut
- the gtr is a 1960's Eko V-4 played through the tank, and the Kalamazoo Model 2 amp
-the soloing gtr is the strat (bridge p-up) played through the tank, and the Kalamazoo Model 2 amp

Almeria
- the gtr is the strat on the bridge p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic

Cowboy X
-the gtr is the strat on the middle p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic

Rumble Ranchero
-the gtr is the strat on the neck p-up played through a boss DD3 into a 1960's Dano Cadet (6" Weber speakr)
-the solo gtr is the strat direct through a Beringer Eurorack mixer (tremolo channel)

Stampeedo
-the main gtr is an aqua Dano U2 (both p-ups on) played through the tank, and the Vibrasonic

Tombstone Swagger
-the gtr is a Dano Hodad Baritone (bridge p-up) played through the tank, and the Vibrasonic (tremolo on)

Showdown At Sundown
-the gtr is the strat on the bridge p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic
-the 2nd gtr is the Dano (both p'ups) played direct through a Beringer Eurorack mixer (distortion channel)
--the lap steel is a 1950's Kalamazoo played played direct through a Beringer Eurorack mixer (distortion channel)

Renegade
--the gtr is the strat on the bridge p-up played through the tank and Fender Vibrasonic
-the rhythm gtr is the Eko played through the tank and the Vibrasonic
-the lap steel is the Kalamazoo played through the tank and the Vibrasonic
