Permalink Fender Jaguar HH Tremolo

New Topic

Hi!
I just bought a new Fender Jaguar HH and it sounds great for me.
The thing is that I NEED the tremolo, so I was looking for information in order to replace the tailpiece.
But there are two problems: THE HOLES of the tailpiece.
I don´t know if the new tailpiece will cover those holes or not.
Has anyone done this?
Please, I need help and I NEED the trem.

Here's an option if you can afford it:

Not cheap, but there's no routing necessary and no refinishing. When you add all that up along with the cost of a JM/Jag-style trem, it might not be a bad option to consider.

...and, no, I haven't tried one.

No offense, but why didn't you just buy a standard Jag? I know you can't get them new, stateside, but they are very commonly found used.

bigsby is yet another option. i wouldnt mind having holes in my guitar.

haven't tried the stetsbar. though i do have a friend that put a bigsby on a jag H/H and likes it.

rockfish, I'd likely get 2 of those in chrome, if it wasn't for having already bought 2 Bigsby B5s. One was originally for my Epiphone Les Paul Jr. 90, but now that I'm closer to getting a Gibson Les Paul Junior, I'll put the Bigsby on that one. I'll do neck trems on the Epi, if need be.

I e-mailed the manufacturer of this and they informed me that this will not work. seems the stop bar is set back farther and
would throw the scale length to long. The only way around that is to put the
bushings to 1 3/4 back from the scale length (high e saddle).

I have a LesTrem on my Jaguar HH. I wasn't satisfied with the Bigsby B5 on it, though I may not have performed an optimal installation.
