I just picked this up recently. It is a best-of with some new tracks. Damn it rocks! If you like a more aggressive not-necessarily trad sound this is definitely worth checking out. Good songwriting and arrangements, great fast songs, some nice mid-tempo stuff, great playing. Hints of surf, spy, spaghetti western (El Coyote) and lots of raw energy.
It is a nice intro to the band if you don't already have any of their material.

On Highwave to Hell they credit El Rey to Satan's Pilgrims. I'll have to find my copy of Tick Tick Tick to see what they do there.

I picked this one up about a month ago, and I concur. It's
a great CD.

Hey, Wannes! Long time no see ;-).
Seems like you're a pretty active poster in here. How's the Italian reverb tank doing?

Yiipieee, what a great day of warm welcoming greetings. Thanks, Brian. Great site! I just ordered a SurfGuitar101 t-shirt that I'm looking foreward to flash all over Copenhagen.
If anyone else have any questions about this release feel free to ask. It's basically a collection of what we've been doing from 2001 - 2006. Ou on Greek label GreenCookie.
We are currently on a break but will be back in the game from August, 2008. Hopefully backed up by a fast recording session and a new release!

El - I bumped into the killer bananazz guitarist last week and pretty much his first quiestioin was "you still play with the crazy italian tank?" Appearantly that tank is a lot more impressive than my playing Are you guys planning to travel again yet?

Haha! No it's not more impressive. Just think you just bought it when we met a few years back and we talked quite a bit about it ;-).

BTW, if any of you haven't heard El Ray, check out their myspace. I also played (with their permission ;) ) a song of theirs on our first and only podcast.
